Homemade Bikini Contest 2023

Bottle caps, duct tape, playing cards, sparklers... we've seen bikinis made of everything--and we mean everything. Be a part of age-old tradition that gave Shadow Lake its wild reputation. Help us keep it wild! 

The competition is on the first Saturday of each month starting in June. Those dates are June 3rd, July 1st, August 5th. The Grand Championship on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend on September 2nd.​

​Event details for participants:

• Pre-registration is allowed
• Contestants get to pick their own song for their routine
• Outfits may be made at home and brought to the venue
• Male entry is allowed
• Winning contestants are invited back for a chance to compete in the Homemade Bikini Grand Championship on Labor Day Weekend, September 2nd

Event details non-participants:

• Live music and mixing from DJ ChuckG 
• Must be 18-years or older for entry
• General admission is $5 for 21+ and $10 for ages 18-20
• Backpacks and large bags are not allowed into the venue 
• Shuttle rides available 

Prizes:

First Place: $500 Cash + Shadow Lake VIP Pass

Second Place: $30 Bar Tab + Shadow Lake VIP Pass

Third Place: Blue or Red Fishbowl + Shadow Lake VIP Pass

To enter contestants must fill out and submit the registration form linked at the bottom of the Homemade Bikini Contest page.

Forms can be emailed to shadowlakenightclub@gmail.com or brought to the venue on the night of the contest.

Contest Rules:

• Participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Pre-registration is allowed and costumes can be made at the place of residence, but do not wear your entry to the venue
• If a wardrobe change is brought to the venue in a bag entrants must consent to a bag search by a member of security before entering the venue
• Contestants must have their entry approved by a staff member of the same sex prior to coming on stage
• Each contestant will have approximately two (2) minutes to perform a dance routine to a song of their choice prior to being introduced to the audience and judges by MC.
• Prizes will be awarded to one first, second, and third place winners
• Winners will be chosen based on originality, creativity and appearance (50%) and audience response (50%)

Missouri State Liquor Control, Shadow Lake LLC, and related sponsors of this event, strictly enforce laws banning public nudity, therefore, ABSOLUTELY NO NUDITY of any kind will be permitted in the exposure of genital, pubic, anus, or nipple area of the body. Any contestant that violates this rule, either intentionally or unintentionally will be disqualified from the contest and escorted from the premises.
