If you love a good scare, check out Skeleton Acres in Noel, Missouri.

Located at 288 Sycamore Street, Skeleton Acres features Halloween-themed attractions, spooky displays, and haunted experiences. This year is Skeleton Acres' first year with an indoor haunted house!

It's a great way to kick off your Halloween festivities before heading downtown for the evening.

🎃 Two Halloween Parties at Shadow Lake

Shadow Lake hosts not one, but TWO Halloween parties in downtown Noel, right off Main Street.

These aren't your average Halloween parties. Shadow Lake calls on all the misfits, monsters, circus freaks, and beautifully bizarre creatures out for two nights of music, and dancing, and costume contests.

When the sun goes down on Friday night, the freaks come out!

Kick off Halloween weekend with Freakshow Friday with sound production by Sound Mafia with performances by JSTDNY, Mafia Princess and DJ Savage.

Saturday, October 31, for another unforgettable Halloween celebration at Shadow Lake, featuring DJ GMartinez.

Expect outrageous costumes, dancing, spooky drink specials, and plenty of Halloween mischief. Whether you're a witch, vampire, demon, or something nobody can quite explain, this is your night to let loose.

Get creative with your costumes and prepare for TWO costume contests. It will be a weekend you won't soon forget.

Doors open at 8 PM both nights. Tickets are for Friday and Saturday are available online and at the door. Shadow Lake encourages buying tickets ahead of time. Its Halloween parties are usually some of the busiest nights of the year.

🦇 Explore Noel During the Day

Halloween weekend doesn't have to start after dark! Noel's beautiful Ozark setting makes it a fun destination for a weekend getaway, especially when paired with two days and nights of Halloween festivities.

Explore downtown Noel, enjoy the fall scenery along the Elk River, explore downtown Noel, or take an underground adventure at Bluff Dwellers Cave. One of Noel's newsest shops has something special planned for Halloween.

Halloween Flash Day at the Wilted Fern

Noel's newsest tattoo studio The Wilted Fern hosts a special Halloween flash art sale alongside local artist Gardens of Curiosity on October 31st.

The tattoo and fine art studio opened in October and is located at 319 Main Street in Noel. The shop specializes in a number of tattoo styles including traditional and ornamental design.

Tattoo specials are availble all day starting at noon. Customers can choose designs from the shop curated Halloween flash sheet. Flash pricing starts at $100 for linework, $150 for black and grey and $175 for color designs. See the flash sheet below.

Gardens of Curiosity will also be in the building selling artisnal framed insect preservation art. She curates vintage-inspired floral arrangements with ethically and sustaianably sourced preserved insects. Frames will be available for sale from noon to 4 PM.

Something sweet for the family

Join the Noel Revitalization Team for Noel's annual Trunk-or-Treat on October 30th, located at the grass lot across the street from Shadow Lake.

Participants decorate the trunks of their cars in their Halloween theme of choice and pass out candy from 5:30 PM to 8 PM.

Awards given for best overall, spookiest, most creative, and funniest trunk. Chili, popcorn and hot chocolate will be available for purchase.
